Leaving Groote Eylandt

Today was the day we left Groote Eylandt yay! As much as we loved living on this amazing island off the NT coast, we have definitely had enough of living in remote aboriginal communities so it's finally time to live back in civilsation again. The plan is to go and spend a few weeks with Aaron's brothers who live in a different community Wadeye (which we lived in for two years previously to coming to Groote) then start the long trip back to Victoria.

Due to expenses we decided to have Aaron boat the kids, dogs and I across to the main land, then he would fly over once the boat and the rest of our belongings were put on the barge. I know it's sounds absolutely mental but I promise it was quite safe and only took 2 hours, in saying that it was hard not to feel a little like a refugee ;)

With all my anxieties about the trip we made it over very safely, and was quite the adventure.

//the trip was all to much for these little adventures//
// the Main Street of Wadeye never thought we'd be back here! thankfully it's only for a few weeks//
// the boys living it up with Aaron's brother Jarrod and his girlfriend Hannah, yes her name is Hannah and I'm Hunnah it's all very confusing especially for Aaron poor dad hehe//
